Advanced Architectural Stone (AAS – Formerly Advanced Cast Stone) – Projects Gallery
Advanced Architectural Stone (AAS – Formerly Advanced Cast Stone) has provided architectural stone products to customers using four materials – cast stone, architectural precast, GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete)Â and GFRG (Glass Fiber Reinforced Gypsum).
With three strategically located plants in TX, AZ and PA, AAS is able to serve customers nationwide.
AAS has won extensive range of awards over past years.
AAS has helped customers in both commercial as well as residential markets.
LA Sports Hall of Fame
Trahan architects had a vision of cane river channels inside LA Sports Hall of Fame museum. AAS team delivered the design using highly sophisticated engineering, modelling techniques and production of cast stone.
USC Roland Tutor Center
The vision for the project is to make the Ronald Tutor Center the social hub of the campus. For that building has to blend seamless in to the heart of the USC campus where most of the buildings are more than 50 years old. AAS team combined cast stone, architectural precast and GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) with precise color matching so that the design effect would remain consistent despite different choices of materials. The project also required that the new design and latest material technology of architectural stone products would match traditional colors and culture of the campus.
This project required color matching of cast stone, architectural precast and GFRC materials. While the structural pieces and trims around windows very big in size, the design required precise tolerance for the stone products to fit in with rest of the building. AAS team precisely designed the molds, matched colors from control samples and then sequenced the delivery of products for smooth installation at the project site.
