Cast stone is used on this building at the header band, window systems and sills, and a highly decorative acorn motif incorporated into a 3 story entry way and building banding.

Cast stone was the design material unique to this building but also the unifying product used throughout all structures in this 35 block complex.

The critical design element of this property is the rotunda at the buildings entrance. The rotunda is 30 feet in diameter, with one and half foot thick walls, highlighting a 13 sided sculpture honoring our country and its soldiers throughout history. The tree story rotunda was constructed exclusively from architectural precast with 3 large radius openings each with a complex series of step-backs. The step-back effect creates a framed view of the hanging sculpture.

Color and texture consistency was achieved through a computer driven batch design. The entrance was required to look like a monolithic piece of stone. CNC technology was utilized to make sure each mold and part fit together for a seamless look. The precast at the rotunda provided a framed look to the sculpture.
